The FSTC Therapists |
Joy
O'Banion began her work as Director of the Family
Support and Treatment Center in August of 1989. She holds
Master's degrees in both Sociology and Social Work; she
is licensed at the LCSW level and also holds the Registered
Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) certification. Joy's
clinical experience includes working with both adult and
child victims of abuse as well as other issues related
to trauma. She has specialized in play therapy and especially
enjoys working with children who have attachment and bonding
difficulties. |
Cindy
Lee is Clinical Director at the Family Support and
Treatment Center. She received a BA and an MSW from Brigham
Young University, and has worked in the Youth Residential
Program at Wasatch Mental Health. She is a LCSW and also
a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S). Cindy
is the current Chair for the School of Social Work Advisory
Board, BYU and is a member of the National Advisory Council
for the College of Home, Family and Social Sciences, BYU.
She serves on the Board of Directors for the Utah Association
of Play Therapy. Cindy has been at the FSTC since 1995,
and currently specializes in working with child and adult
victims of trauma. |
Larry
Krause graduated from BYU School of Social Work with
his MSW in 1995 and is now a LCSW. Larry specializes in
treating trauma and sexual abuse victims including adults,
adolescents and children. He is a Registered Play Therapist
Supervisor (RPT-S) and currently participates in supervising
trainees in play therapy. Larry also enjoys writing and
playing music and uses his music as a therapeutic tool
in counseling. Larry has worked at the Family Support
and Treatment Center since 1995. |
Erin
Vasquez specializes in working with victims of trauma,
sexual, and physical abuse. She is a Licensed Clinical
Social Worker with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and
a Master's degree in clinical social work. Erin has worked
as a full-time therapist for the Family Support and Treatment
Center since 1997. As a Registered Play Therapist (RPT),
she enjoys working with children, as well as adolescents
and adults. She also has training in drug and alcohol
treatment. |
Stuart
Harper graduated from BYU in 1998 with a Master's
degree in social work. He is a full-time therapist working
primarily with child, adolescent, and adults of physical
and sexual abuse. Stuart also works with couples and families.
He is a LCSW and has also received his Registered Play
Therapist (RPT) credential. Stuart enjoys reading, watching
movies and playing golf. |
Barbara
Lovell is currently a CSW and has been working at
Family Support and Treatment Center since August 2000.
She attended and graduated from BYU School of Social Work
with her MSW in 2001. Prior to working at Family Support
and Treatment Center, she completed an internship at Wasatch
Mental Health, where she worked in adult outpatient. Barbara
works with adults, adolescents, and children, individually
and in groups, specializing in the treatment of trauma,
attachment issues, and abuse. She does play therapy with
child clients and is working towards becoming a LCSW and
Registered Play Therapist (RPT). Barbara also works as
the Prevention Education Specialist, giving educational
presentations in the schools on public safety, abuse,
mental health, and positive child guidance. Barbara's
professional interests include treating depression, anxiety,
domestic violence, and marital and family therapy. |
Kerri
Freeman is currently a LCSW and has been working at
Family Support and Treatment Center since September of
2000. She attended and graduated from BYU School of Social
Work with her MSW in 1998. Prior to working at Family
Support and Treatment Center, she worked at Utah County
Children's Justice Center with child sexual abuse victims
and their families. Kerri works with adults, adolescents,
and children, individually and in groups, specializing
in the treatment of trauma. She also does play therapy
with child clients and is working towards earning her
Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. |
Tracy
Cash graduated from Westminster College of Salt Lake
City with a B.S. in Psychology in 1995 and earned her
Master's degree in Social Work from the University of
Utah in 2001. She has eight years of experience working
with children and families. She is licensed as a CSW and
expects to qualify for the LSCW and Registered Play Therapist
(RPT) credentials in June 2003. Tracy specializes in play
therapy and treating victims of trauma, abuse and bereavement.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, rafting and other
activities that allow her to enjoy nature.. |
