The
crisis respite nursery is designed to provide a safe, homelike
atmosphere where parents can bring their children when the
family is in a stressful situation. It is intended to be -
primarily- a means of preventing abuse. Examples of possible
reasons for using the nursery may include:

Medical Emergencies
· Financial Stresses
· Family Violence
· Divorce
· Lack of Parenting Skills
· Previous Abuse Issues
A
voluntary service, children may be accepted only from the parent
or legal guardian and may stay up to 72 hours per visit.
YESS
The
nursery program also includes a social skills group twice
weekly and is designed to teach children how to deal with
emotional stressors. Children learn through songs,games, and
activities about how to deal with anger, fear, and other emotions.
The program is free of charge and is available to children
ages 4-11.
